JoAnne Berg
JoAnne is a speaker, teacher, facilitator, business advisor, and nationally published author. She is an expert in creating and implementing strategies which make businesses more profitable and non profits more effective.
JoAnne knows what it takes to run a business: she’s done it, successfully, many times. In addition, she is a gifted teacher, speaker and writer with the ability to make complex subjects understandable and actionable, and a highly skilled, effective, and insightful facilitator who has undergone extensive training in facilitating the decision making process for both individuals and organizations.

She has written many articles for American Express OPEN Forum and is a frequently featured speaker and facilitator at business and non profit events. As an adjunct professor at UCSD Extension, JoAnne has designed and taught classes in financial and operational management for both businesses and non profits.
Currently JoAnne serves as a Board Member of San Diego Social Venture Partners (SDSVP), the San Diego affiliate of Social Venture Partners International (SVPI). SDSVP is a unique organization of successful individuals who invest their talents and resources in innovative nonprofit organizations in the greater San Diego community. JoAnne also founded the Business Operations resource team of SDSVP, which consults with non-profits in the areas of financial and business management and operations. In addition she served as the organization’s Treasurer.
JoAnne is also an active member of Women Give San Diego, where she chaired the Grant Making team. WGSD partners with non profit organizations serving to enhance the economic security and self-sufficiency of women and girls in San Diego County.
In her spare time, JoAnne can be found on the local trails with her Morgan gelding Max, preparing for and competing in endurance rides and competitive trail rides.
Her extensive experience in financial and operational management includes retailing, manufacturing, product development and licensing, international sourcing, import and export, domestic and international distribution, real estate development, consulting, business services, software development, life sciences, and non profits.
